Thats interesting. I mean if you cant get your left shot D next best would be a guy who is capable of playing on that side or i guess if you're confident in moving risto there. Im a little surprised they wont pull the trigger on Faulk though. Checks off a lot of boxes especially if the + is on their side.

Daley is a solid 2nd pairing left shot. I'd hope Chychrun would be better but I actually like the comparison over the one Button had a few months ago of Bogosian...

I should note that I want the Russian or the Finn. I want to like Chychrun a lot because he has everything going for him including the Pegula connect but I'm a bit scared of him as a prospect now.

I just think he's the favorite for the pick with Nylander being the dark horse.

Maybe but it doesnt solve the problem long term. If you can only protect 3 D then id look at moving Bogo as part of a deal for that top pair guy or just move him outright and replace him with a short term vet. Protect your top pair and cost effective 3rd D-man before Bogo.

Thats what Im thinking as well. Even if you go to plan b i assume thats going to be someone good enough youll want to invest heavy in and protect against expansion.

I think at least one is a dman. I think they expect Jouevi to be gone so that was one of the players he was referring to where they don't expect them to be there.

That would leave Sergechev Nylander and Chychrun

Our last couple of 1st round defenceman have bee pretty good. Zadorov I think will still blossom into a 2nd pairing guy. Risto who we got at 8 by the way is pretty darn good.
