The only way I take Benn/Seguin over Stamkos is if I get both of them.

I take Stamkos over Ovechkin right now too, but age has a lot to do with that. Tavares and Stamkos are a wash.

Pavelski is going to be 32 years old who's been skating with a Hall of Famer. Stamkos at 25 has 60 more career goals already.

I never said I didn't want Stamkos. I was just stating players I think are better. I'd like to have Stamkos and if it means over spending so he doesn't go to Toronto so be it. Although it would be sweeter if he went there and was terrible and they were stuck with that contract for 7 years... That being said there is a risk at paying him 12 million especially for a guy who only got 64 points. four more than O'Riley with six more games played on a playoff bound team.

Again not bashing Stamkos. I'd definitely look into paying him 9.5 or 10 million and I guess maybe consider going higher but I wouldn't be thrilled with forking over that kind of cash
