Are you kidding me, Vesey will NOT sign in Buffalo, His 2 top teams are still Toronto and Boston, by the sounds of it and what he is looking for in terms of a city its going to be Toronto, The only down fall is I'm sure some bleeding heart will call it tampering ..and good luck proving that. We in leafs nation welcome him with open arms. I will say this, if the leafs do sign Stamkos, we might not have the cap space for vessey , but with that being said Lou I'm sure can work his magic if he really wanted him

You could switch Buffalo and Toronto in this statement and it would be the same level of accuracy that it is right now. No one's got a clue. Sabres are going to try first. If they strike out then the other 28 teams will have their chance. For a 3rd round pick it was worth the 2 months of trying.

I briefly tried to find success rates for 3rd round picks... and he mentioned it.. something like 7%? I'll trade a pick with a 7% chance to make it to the NHL for the rights to a guy who's ready to play in the NHL. Any day.

How does everybody feel about that Kane/ Bogosian for Stafford/ Myers trade? That hasn't been discussed in the last few days

And I'd think that we have more than a 9% chance to sign Vesey. So it's just going for the better odds. At least this way we'll know in 2 months instead of 4 years of waiting and hoping.
