If they traded Stepan and a center wasn't coming back in that trade, I could live with Staal cheap. Thats the only scenario I would be able to stomach.

Would love to know what the hell sather and now gordon are thinking. keep getting rid of our promising players, hagelin, duclair, etc. and bringing in old men. blow it up, trade everyone, including our pretty boy hank. get some high draft picks, bring in some BIG Dmen and forwards, promote one of the 3 goalies they drafted last year and let the dice roll.

If they traded Stepan and a center wasn't coming back in that trade, I could live with Staal cheap. Thats the only scenario I would be able to stomach.

if Eric Staal did come back, possibly trading Marc Staal someday goes from a pipe dream to a never ever ever happen

If he wasn't 30 I would be all for signing him but we have way too much invested already to be throwing those dollars at a 30+ year old. don't care how many assists he had.
