Not quite sure what you mean by that... Sure G only got 4 more years compared to MStaals 5. And G's modified NTC kicking in a year earlier than MStaal's. - Correct me if I'm wrong but MStaal looks like 'twice' the player G is for now...

Leafs fans legitimately believe they're going to get Stamkos. I just don't see it.

Stamkos has spent his entire career up until recently on a team building through youth. The Lightning are finally contenders the last 2 years and he got a taste of that. The leafs have some talented prospects coming up but signing with Toronto is like the Lightning team of 5-6 years ago.

Gotta imagine Stammer goes to a team ready to compete immediately.
