So on friday we need to somehow get DoTheDougie and Glove_Was_Stuck in here so we can duplicate last years festivities as we all watched the bruins go up in flanes.

I will be on here Friday morning-afternoon drinking like a mother(frank)er. I may be too drunk to type by the time the draft starts, so expect a genuine poopshow.

So... if you can extend him, you just added a defenseman you don't have to protect in the expansion draft because you wait to sign it until after. If you can't extend, you can easily get a first and a solid prospect for him at the trade deadline.

Shattenkirk is the best RHD on the market. You're not going to get him for players you are happy to part with, or sending back un-needed cap hits.

Yes, I understand how this works and I am in favor of them getting it done for a reasonable trade. Its my opinion that Shattenkirk and the 3rd for the 14th pick Friday and either JFK or Senyshyn isn't a reasonable trade. The 29th and JFK or Jesse Gabrielle for Shattenkirk alone? Yes. If he was signed for more than this year, I would feel differently.

Thank god.

I can't bear to see Don "StupidPigFuker" Sweeney's face announce any more draft picks or sign Kris Russel as our "BIG TIME" D Target that will turn this team around then sign John Scott to finally bring some snarl back to our 4th Line.

Cam Neely should be Donald Trump's VP

The kris russel signing will be followed up by a press conference where they state something like "I feel we got real 'value' in this signing" and "he plays a real 'heavy' game'

Along with, I think Kris brings real value at only 6.5M per year for the next 6 years.

Nice. I'll be here as well, unless my work blocks hockeybuzz.com between now and then. Will not be drinking at work unfortunately, but will be well into my cups by the time douchebag takes the podium to announce the bruins "picks"

What would the cost to acquire Griffith look like from the Oilers?

Boston doesn't have a bargaining chip here. They don't have anything St. Louis needs right now besides more cap space. The only way this deal gets done is if Doug Armstrong is fleeced.

Yeah, I have so many feelings about the draft. Part of me is excited, because I really get into scouting throughout the year and I know who I would like to see them select. The other part of me is just full of dread, because I am fairly certain the Bruin's brass wont draft anyone on my list. Bearing in mind my list follows fairly close to what ISS has, with a few switches in position here and there.

We will see what happens, but as it stands today, I have very little confidence in Neely and Sweeney when it comes to this team. Hopefully we dont get fleeced on more deals.

I actually think Griffiths is a nice lil player, just not sure where he sits on the depth chart at the time. With the emergence of Frankie V he jumped over him and who knows who will be around next year. Doesn't seem like a trade the B's need to do unless it's in a package for a Dman with some impact etc.,

I'm a fan. I think he'd do great beside Hall and Draisaitl or McDavid.

Ive liked what i've seen. I think he could have made the jump to the big club last year but Vatrano kinda took his spot on the big club.

Who are you looking for the B's to take with their second pick? I'm curious more so for myself... I have the 24th pick in a fantasy keeper league...

I'm looking to add defense... Hearing lots of great things about Fabbro, but I highly doubt he'll be around that late. My team is fairly weak on the wings too, so if there's a winger prospect around that late I'd be willing to grab them too...

Any advice would be appreciated... I've just been reading draft lists everywhere trying to get an idea of who's going where, but I don't know much about the actual talent.

For 14th overall:

The order in which I would pick depending on availability:
Jake Bean, Tyson Jost (if there), Charles McAvoy, Dante Fabbro, Julien Gauthier (obviously if someone like Logan brown or Jakob Chychrun drops surprisingly you take that player)

For 29th overall:
Logan Stanley (if there), Alex Debrincat, Taylor Raddysh, Sam Steel, Nathan Bastian, Libor Hajek and Tage Thompson

EDIT: For your fantasy team, Gauthier may be available where you are drafting and he will be the most NHL ready winger at that position in the draft. Max Jones is another good pick, as well as Riley Tufte. Those big forwards often make it to the NHL quicker. Have ISS hockey top 30 open when you draft, and literally take the biggest winger available that hasnt been taken at your draft position. Thats what I would do if you are looking for a prospect to fill a wing slot.

Sweeney is too (frank)ing terrible to get this done.

Prediction: Shattenkirk goes to Carolina. Ek said keep your eyes on Carolina.
