And, who gives a (frank) if they play that power play next year? If three of your 5 most skilled players are under 20 so be it and play them on the power play. You can disperse rookies and vets when at even strength.

I couldn't care less if the Leafs sign Stamkos or not, never been a fan of him, but he is really good. I'm just stating the probable PP units *if* Stamkos signs, to show you that Kadri will get some PP time. Which you mentioned he wouldn't.

High end players have big egos. Stamkos has one of those. If it wasn't the case, he and John Cooper would have come to a meeting of the minds and he would have stayed a Tampa Bay Lightening, a year ago.

OK, and when you've said this I respond by saying that having two players who are good enough to play 1C is not a horrid place to be.

You have the Stamkos line, and you have the Matthews line. Whichever line is playing better on said night gets more ice time and is your defacto first line. When in reality you have two scoring line you can throw out with confidence.

It would be a moot point, if we don't sign Stamkos. I think the Anderson signing will facilitate an offer. I wouldn't have believed it, one day ago. The Leafs seem to be ending the rebuild by bringing in talent in the prime of their careers, to augment their top end drafted players. It's foundation time.

Difference is, Bozak gets you a third rounder, Kadri may get you a top 4 defender. Bozak is just a bridge until someone like Gauthier gets experience and moves up to the big club, in 2 years.

I just think it's funny because this topic is one he has a particular passion for so if he was around it was guaranteed this was going to around and around again. For me it's a non-issue because I'd be shocked if they traded Kadri and expect them to move Bozak.
