Babcock runs a much better defensive scheme than the other coaches, with even average goaltending last year we would have been respectable.

The Leafs now have a shot at the playoffs next year I think.

Lots of people thought the same things about Bernier, Toskala, and Raycroft to a lesser extent. Im not going to be sold until we see a season with him in net, seems like playing in TO isnt the most comfortable place for goalies. Of the "available" names out there Andersen is prbably the most attractive, I have the highest of hopes though.

Lou knows goalies. His track record for top goalies wasn't too bad with NJ

Brodeur = 2 cups + 4 Vezina trophies,

Schneider = .924 save percentage, 27 - 25 - 6 on a non-playoff, offensively challenged team.

Remember, Leafs will be a max cap team, NJ was always a penny-pinching, low attendance, team that never spent near the max.
