nothing we can do about it if he doesn't want to sign here or if we lose out on Stamkos, just pick up and move on.

To be honest I think those guys are easier to move because they don't need a roster spot and the cap hit comes off when they put them on LTIR

I'd have to imagine Moulsons trade list doesnt include bottom feeding teams taking on salary for picks. His NTC handcuffs GMTM big time. im really surprised we handed him money, term and a ntc. Murray probably should have told him to pick 2 of 3. i suspect he gets about a 1/2 season next year to prove he can play. then, he's watching the rest of the season from the pressbox and will be bought out/salary traded the following year if we can find any takers on his list.
