Dosnt worry me at all. Have to pay for that type of player and it's worth it. All 30 teams in the NHL should accept a deal. Obviously the majority can't because of personal cap issues

The final Cap # will influence his decision. He may want to wait until next year to try to cash in bigger if the cap goes down or remains flat. Doubt it though. He will likely want the sure thing.

I hear, according to an EK 54 level source... that Tampa Bay will trade Stamkos' rights to Pitt... for Malkin... and then still sign Stamkos. Because anything will get Malkin out of Pittsburgh so the beloved Flyers might win a bit more.

Having him signed or not could impact other moves. The earlier he’s signed, the better imo.

Won’t cost much for his rights anyways. We should also include a meh prospect in the deal to clear up a contract spot.

If Stamkos's rights are traded it's likely the team he goes to. I don't Think Stamkos is cold hearted and would make some random team give up a 2nd round pick for nothing. But who knows.
