Ren Lavoie says Lecavalier will retire today. If he does, the Flyers and Kings will incur no cap penalty for him in the future. - Jsaquella

Really would be somethin if we can get Read and/or Streit off the books too. First time Hexy has had actual spending money. - arichardson22
Retain some cap hit I think streit could be moved now. However probably get better return at deadline. Just a matter of what the plan is for gudas and the prospects this seaason.

I don't think we can retain any other money from contracts until July 1st. Could be wrong though. |

With Lecavalier off books, #LAKings move up to $5.55M in estimated cap space (11F/7D/1G). #Flyers up to $12.75M (9F/5D/3G).
Schenn $1.5M
Gudas $1.25M
Stamkos $10M - PhillySportsGuy
Schenn $1.5? Luke is off the books and Brayden will most likely be in $4 mil range. Gudas will most likely be in $3 mil range. Ladd will be in the $5-6 mil range. |

Agreed on the July 1st point. I'm not in hurry to trade streit. Insurance if ghost slumps a little to start the year. Streit is an overpriced 3rd pairing d man but it is manageable for 1 season IMO

That depends on his health, and if he can rebound from last season. If he reverts to his previous form, he's more than a 3rd pair defenseman. |

I think Streit is still a decent player and his down season had more to do with injuries, linemates and usage than just being old. The Flyers don't really need to move him and his value will likely increase at TDL. Might as well hang on to him unless they have something bigger planned. |

I think 3 year AAV of around 2.5 is where he should be right now... |

would like to keep, flyers need a righty D and he is a good physical presence they can use
my guess is 3 years, between 8-9M is the deal they will settle on

I said it before with the Blackhawks paying Kane and Toews what they are is insane in the cap era, and they have three Cups
Paying Stamkos $10-12 million...well. Good luck with that |
