On the extremely off chance(don't think there is a chance in hell we do it) draft Laine does Spatso come on here and saying it was a terible pick and that Mathews is better than Laine and that pick just set us back years in the rebuild ?

Hopefully the Spatso problem is in the process of being taken care of...
I remember back in 96, ol' Lums was in grade 9 and it was the England vs Netherlands game at Euro 1996... and we were to be stuck in religion class.
So being the smart kids we were, we all conspired to have some small FM receivers with headphones going up our sleeves (it was a hot day so long sleeves was unbearable!) and then we could simply lean on our arms in class (normal, right?) but really be listening to the game while hiding the wire.
Great plan. Flawless plan. Worked like a charm.
Right until some dumb bastard got up and started cheering when they scored... - lumlums

please let him rest and do not invoke his name for 48 hrs please.
Yes, Spatso - it has been noted that you have (several times now) stated that you think the Stamkos contract needs to be insured.
What you have not done (and I've been pointing this out through several posts now) is presented any logical argument as to why this is the case. None whatsoever. In fact, your muddled "logic" has been shown to be flawed. Hopelessly flawed.
And to add to your misery, the doctors quoted in the media reports on this injury all seem to think that the type of clotting Stamkos was experienced would not be a recurring thing, so although I am neither a doctor or an actuary, it would suggest there is a greater chance than not that insurance won't be an issue.
And even if it is, there is actually a potential financial upside: not insuring a contract means not having to pay for insurance.
As for your non sequitur about paying too much for Kessel - wow, you really saw something there that nobody else saw. Philosophy question: what's the sound of two hands not clapping? - Atomic Wedgie
