I wonder how many drones will be at Wreck Beach this year ?

Guys everywhere in the bushes. I guess that would make them Bush Whackers!

"...ready to dangle Alex Burrows and Chris Higgins as trade possibilities to add picks before buying them out..."

I suspect the only way they will be traded is if the Canucks eat salary.... then again, I guess that would be okay as long as we get some picks.

I finally saw DeadPool last night - pretty decent flick. A little bit over-hyped but it was a lot of fun and great action.

However, the other one I saw recently was 'Rush - Beyond the Lighted Stage'. For any fan of music this is extremely well done and you should check out. Of course for any Rush fan it is MUST-SEE. Just a great documentary covering their very early days from school all the way up to pretty much the present.

It just reaffirms the unbelievable musicianship, talent, creativity, and intelligence of the members.

Eating salary is just as palatable as a buyout really.

If we can trade them and eat salary for picks do it in a heartbeat

yep. I was thinking eating salary is the same as buying draft picks

while buyouts are just money out the door, but over 2 seasons rather eat the salary or just keep them around and buried in Utica if need be.

If you have to buy someone out it usually means that other clubs don't find them useful......or their contract really is out to lunch.

I could see Higgins being buried and Burrows being traded with 50% salary retained.

a reduced cap hit for either could be a selling point

to be bought out, you have to waive them first... . For a team with lots of cap room, I guess they could wait for either to be waived and not give up assets to acquire them.

I know FC last season was different, but nobody wanted to trade for him, but since he was on waivers, the Leafs took a chance on him.

I'd rather bury both than buy them out, a buyout over 2 seasons would save the club money. pros and cons both ways.

how about mid air drone collisions, spinning propellers falling from the sky, having to explain how the franks and beans got all chopped up

I spent the afternoon there......not wreck. Although I used to really enjoy watching the naked girl cook my falafel it really is just as fun when they wear bikinis.

Agreed, he's such a bloody tool.. I actually just went and read some of his tweets because I forgot about him until it was brought up lol.. He was having a meltdown I've how Benning turned down a 1st + from San Jose for Miller.. Also that it's a fact and not a rumour

Here is the thing, if we don't want Burrows or Higgins why would another team? Teams aren't in a charitable mood at draft time and they don't want our old scraps. Regardless of eating salary, we aren't getting much back if anything at all.

I'm not a huge buyout fan, except after the lockouts when there are no penalties.

Seeing as how we aren't contenders, i'd rather just bit the bullet and have full space moving forward.

a first plus lol. Benning said yesterday that we were never offered a trade for Miller. SJ considered a move and found a younger superior solution. what an absolute muppet.

I think the Canucks would take an 8th rd pick for Higgins.

I'm with you on this.

just trying to weigh the pros and cons, regarding buyouts, maybe FA wants to save a few bucks? (I hope he isn't as much into the business as that or I'd guess he'd be ordering the cheapest toilet paper for the washrooms too)
