Actually Detroit has some of the nicest suburbs in America. Downtown, different storey.

Sure, why not? They've got money to spend and some great young players, not to mention some great older players.

If memory serves they took Tampa to seven games in the first round. I wouldn't dismiss them outright.

Watched a canucks game a few years back at the Joe Louis arena. Drove down when I was living in ON, downtown detroit was interesting to say the least. From monster Casino's to crack heads all in one block. Weird seeing tall ass buildings just boarded up and empty.

No they wouldn't, their defense is middling, they're goaltending is below average depending on who the starter is. Besides, I don't get the love for Stamkos, he's not exactly a playoff performer, last year getting to the finals was more about Tyler Johnson and his line than Stamkos. He's very good in the regular season, but I put him in a class with OV, doesn't do much during playoff time.

I didn't say they would be contenders.

They would absolutely be closer to a cup having Stamkos on the team instead of PD's cap hit and an empty locker.

That's been my choice for months.. People freak out about no having a replacement for Hank but last time I checked we don't have a replacement for Daniel either.. Bo can be a #1 between tkachuk and boeser one day.. Boeser the playmaker that tkachuk needs and Bo will do a bit of everything.. But we'll probably end up with PLD

I for on think Bo will grow into a top center . He has three years to improve and we still have Sutter batting in the two spot.

I think JB will take Tkachuk but I am hoping for a trade down with a top 6 forward coming back with Sergachev. That is what I want but I am ok with MT or PLD

You should check your facts, because you're dead wrong! Mrazek was excellent for them last year, stole Howard's job. Of the goaltenders who played more than 50 games, he played 54, only Holtby, Luongo, Crawford & Schneider had a better save percentage.

And where do you get your opinion on Stamkos being a playoff bum? Last year he played an excellent two-way game for them and had 18 points in 26 games, how is that bad?

Crosby had 19 points in 25 games this year and didn't score a goal in the finals, I guess he sucks in the playoffs too?
