He only needs six more assists for 30, it's not hard to imagine his linemates getting six more goals....is it?

He had a terrible start to the year last year. This year he will be more prepared knowing what to expect. I added on three more goals and 6 more assists to his numbers from last year. That is not a hell of a reach for a player playing his third year who had a terrible start.

I am predicting and willing to bet that he doesn't have 3 goals again at the 40 game mark

The coaching for years has been crap so I don't expect a big difference.

The roster may not improve appreciably but Horvat on his own with better protection in the lineup (ie Sutter) and another summer to work on things will most definitely have a better season next year. I don't see 50 points or 30 assists being much of a stretch...

Your draft position means little, talent is the only true measure of expectations. Bo is a talented kid, Virtanen is a talented kid and Baertschi is a talented kid….but nowhere near the same level as Calgary's kids…..yet???

As it stands, the forward group as a whole isn't any better than it was last year, however, it's not out of the realm of possibility to expect young players to take another step forward.

A lot will depend on who Benning signs on July 1st.
