If we deal Stepan for a player on an ELC or cheap salary (Dumba as rumored for example) we can probably fit him.

I posted a hypothetical lineup a few days ago with Stamkos in it but it had both a Stepan trade and a Girardi buyout. It was 2.2M under the cap and needed a 13th forward and 7th defensemen, but it was also before the 5% cap escalator.
