ARI doesn't have a contract in place for Goligoski but plans to bring the player into ARI and sell him on the Coyotes. |

I had nothing to do with that contract.
But whats your plan, you say get as many young guys in the lineup as possible. What are you doing with all the vets with contracts that are incredibly difficult to move?
Playing all the youngsters and new blood didn't work out so well for the Oilers. - mdw7413
The Oilers don't have a Henrik Lundqvist or a Ryan Mcdonagh. |

They have a mix, also Crosby,Malkin,Kessel... Rangers arent even close to that level on offense.

The Penguins have a handful of young forwards and a young goalie mixed with NHL veterans. Also not the same. |

True, but Hank also looked pretty average this year. Throw more rookies back there I don't think it gets better.
The point I'm trying to make is fine, if you want to throw all youngsters out there, be prepared for growing pains. Possibly no playoffs.
I'm of the idea that I would take making it to the playoffs every year just to have that slim chance everything falls into place for a cup. |

It will be interesting to see. They have enough young guys, but how will Sid, Geno, Kessel and Letang recover from a grueling season. |

You're missing my point. Because you're not really being clear on what you want. You say play all the young guys. Well that to me means getting rid of Girardi, Staal, Nash, etc.
You fill that with Graves,? Buchnevich, etc. that sure as hell is nowhere near the talent on the Penguins. |

He was tired. He faced the most shots and made the most for any goalie in the league. He had a .920 save percentage this season. His career save percentage is .921. Don't gimmie that garbage of him being average. The team in front of him wasn't any good. |

I'm really not trying to argue with you, just curious what you want to see the team do with some specifics. Thats all. |

Tom, the point being he was Vezina in the 1st 1/2 and mediocre in the 2nd 1/2. Who cares if he was tired.
Further to that point of the team being garbage in front of him, I'm still not sure how the defense gets better with 2 guys with very limited nhl experience and 1 guy with none.
And I'm thrilled to see Skjei and McIlrath finally get a spot. But there are going to be some growing pains. |

From 2011/12 to 14/15 he was fresh for the playoffs because the Rangers played good defense. This year they didn't and seemingly every game Lundqvist needed to make 30-40 saves a game to win. He had the exact same save percentage for this season as he did when the Rangers went to the SCF. |

Well I'm one of the few on here who thinks the Rangers will just be filling out the bottom 6. I just think with the contracts they have its going to be tough to do anything big.
With that said, if they were able to move Nash and open up that space, things could get real interesting. - mdw7413
I don't think it's if we can get rid of him. If Nash was on the market he would have demand. |

How much of that also falls on the fowards though too?
Point is, like it or not we lose Boyle(yes I know its like Christmas for you) and Yandle, two veterans and are going to start two rookies(which I love), but you also want to bring in a 3rd rookie. You think that is going to make the team defense better in front of Hank? |
