JB is taking the middle road. he's selectively trading picks for young NHL players with upside like Baertschi, Gudbranson, Vey and trading prospects in positions where the Nux have current/ future depth for players who will fill a role like Granlund...

JB has done a very good job despite his critics . He started the rebuild 2 years ago and now half the team is new faces. I see the rebuild slowing down now , not picking up as some believe.

Don't know. I don't think so but can't say for sure.

Is that because Benning told you not to share info with us?

Or did I tell him not to?

The reason is because Ericksson and Brouwer both play RW and we have Boeser coming and JV also . Too much attention to that side.

the guy had little to work with and the mistakes he made (not moving Bieksa earlier) can be forgiven since FA is pushing the playoffs on him for monetary reasons...

I think he's taking the prudent approach and isn't throwing away picks lightly. the reality is that no one knows what the other side is demanding for the players he's had to trade, like Kassian, a known and confirmed druggie.

people overlook the injury situation and total lack of farm club depth he had to deal with... getting guys from the NCAA and overseas are some of the things he's doing to build up the organization.

But I thought Eddie Lack was the world's most elite goaltender?

Benning fleeced Carolina on that trade. Taco Boy for Brisbouis, Id make that trade any day. I'm pretty high on Brisbouis and I think now that he has been traded he will start showing his offense more

For the record I like Lack, but I'm also aware that if we hadn't of traded him last year it would've been this year and that we also got a decent deal for him so I'm not super upset, Brisebois looks good

I think we look back on it as a trade in which we actual got pick(s) back.

Don't see that very often around here.

Not sure I'm high on Brisebois. Don't really know much right now. Will be interesting to see him in a better situation tho.

I think he will be better this year for sure, I don't know what to expect from him but he definitely could turn out to be an nhl dman.

You've now graduated from grand master circle jerker to benning fluffer. I've never seen someone virtually suck benning's cock as much as you do. Congrats.

Fleeced?

Fleeced might be a strong word considering the outrage at the time that we didn't get a 2nd back. Course, had we gotten one, we all know Benning would've traded it ASAP, can't sit on those 2nd rounders.

I was joking you parasitic drama Queen...it was a fair trade, I'm happy with a 3rd for an average backup goalie. I never liked Lack, I always felt he was more concerned with bromances and tacos than wins and losses. A nice guy but a little too strange for my liking

*Cam Ward has signed a two year extension with the Hurricanes... 3.3M per year.

Carolina looks like they are taking the Dallas approach with goalies...
