To the Google machine!

/looks at pictures

I don't know. She looks like she's aging pretty well. On the other, I'm around her age, so I'm maybe biased. Was there a particular picture that you didn't like?

She put on some weight, got a little chubby in the face.

By the time he moved on, he was in his 30's and had slowed some. He was always reliant on great reflexes and lateral speed as a goalie. He may not have been the best goalie, but if Edmonton had a lead in the third period of a playoff game, Fuhr generally managed to shut the door.
- Jsaquella

Any save pctg over .900 was considered top notch in the 80s. The game was MUCH more wide open and the goalies equipment had yet to balloon up. When it comes to Fuhr, you also have to look at how many goals were given up late in games when Edmonton was already up 4 or 5 goals and they were just playing firewagon hockey trying to pad their stats. When it came to big games, Fuhr was right up there with the best.

What if Hextall told Umberger that they can afford to keep him around another year because they are rebuilding. They won't buy him out but if he wants they could mutually terminate the deal so he can look for another opportunity. Right now he is slotted for the 13th forward role.

Hmmm....get paid full salary or give it all up on the chance that I'll get picked up somewhere (at a much lower salary) or maybe not get picked up at all...tough choice

I'm talking post-80s/Edmonton, and even post-lockout.

Still, I don't know if he was even a top-3 goalie, and again, I think that Moog and Ranford were just about as good.

That's why I like Sceviour or Chaisson. I think Neilsen will get something close to 5 million.
- J35Bacher

absolutely, i think guys like that, who can skate, play a big game, contribute defensively, etc etc would be a boon to our bottom 6. i know a huge deal is made about our scoring and our top 6, but improving the bottom 6 and adding guys who can play the PK can also take a lot of wear and tear of the top guys, and also can chip in with a few goals here and there.

I think she looks fine. She's early 40's and has had a couple of kids. She's not in her Kelly Kapowski days anymore or even her sex kitten 90210 days, but she's squarely in the "really hot soccer mom" phase, if you ask me. And I'm cool with that.

I would put it out there. I'll pay him to play his 13th forward role. If injuries happen use call ups over him. Just let him sit for a year. Then the full cap is gone.

Does he have better chance of a deal just sitting a year basically of maybe finding a team, play on a cheap deal an parlay it into a little more of a deal.

At his age and production he isn't going to get a lot after this year either way.

What if they told him they can either buy him out, or he can waive his NMC at which point he will be assigned to the AHL. $950K savings, no cap hit next year.

Hold on there, sport. There are levels of funny, and more than one person can be funny. And to be fair, I called you the funniest person here. Imho, of course.

I lived with people in college who watched that show regularly, so I was definitely familiar with the character.

Why? As an avid fan of Saved by the Bell who has desecrated many a sock to her, I wouldn't have to look it up.
