Umberger weeks away from a buyout is exciting.

Not interested in Tufte. Don't deny he has some incredible tools, but the one time I saw him he just felt very invisible. That seems to be the report on him too -- raw, inconsistent. It doesn't ease my find that he hasn't performed at any level except HS. Disappointing international record, and he didn't exactly blow the USHL away, though people say he was better in his second stint. Could he be some wildcard home run? Sure. But meh.

I keep thinking that we are going to get really lucky and draft Rubtsov. Id be pretty damn happy.

Almost as happy as I was last year when we took Provorov.

Side note:
Every year I do a "40 Draft Party" where everyone goes out and buys 2 40's. We then right down numbers 2 x the amount of people there and pick out of a hat.
After picking out of the hat you do the actual 40 draft. You are supposed to bring a good 40 and a terrible 40. Ultimately, you just hope you dont get 29 and 30th picks.

PP struggled because it is essentially Garbage. You take Giroux and Ghost out of the picture and you got nothing. System has Schenn playing Hartnell's previous job "sit there and wait for the one-time pass" Simmonds does the opposite of what he should do, instead of screening he stands beside the goalie and holds his hand and Voracek doesnt do much either. He either would fumble a pass, give it back to Ghost, miss the net or shoot at the goalies chest. His shooting % was brutal.

Simmonds was 6th in the NHL last season in PP goals. He was 5th in 14/15, and 3rd in the NHL in PP goals in 13/14. That amounts to nothing I guess.
