Trading laterr – you buy from whatever goalies are leftover.
Trading now – you get the guy you want. - Tumbleweed
nothing wrong with that if you draft a couple in the 2nd/3rd this year and look at a 2-3 year stop gap. |

Off the top of my head, 7th overall for Kadri and 30th overall.
Not sure if that makes much sense for the Leafs. Or the Yotes with someone like Sergachyev or Juolevi available at 7. - TheMussel
Juolevi would be great.
Maybe Brown, Percy and the 30th?
Meh I doubt it. |

I'm not the biggest fan of Juolevi personally. I didn't think he was that effective from what I saw in the Memorial Cup
I still think Chychrun is going to be a beauty, even if Button has him at 17 |

Possible, but Friedman said there would be a contest. Even if that is the owner's preference |

Keep hearing Jacob Trouba's name mentioned in trade chatter leading up to July 1. Arizona is latest team. He'd make nice RH partner for OEL
interesting...both Trouba & Barrie out there. |

That article was pretty enlightening.
Teams that Will be looking to move a 'tender.
Pitt, Ana, Av's, Bos, and St.L
Caps and Rags have some backups they might try to move.
And TBay has a weird situation. They don't have to protect Bishop but do they really keep him all year and let him hit UFAgency next summer? Or are they better off dealing him (or Vasilevsky) this summer.
Teams that can add a 'tender.
Leafs, Flames, Nucks, Stars and maybe the Yotes. |

What is the best case scenario with picks 30/31. Given we have a lot of contracts should we look at trading up? How high up do you think we could land and would it be worth it? |

It's no surprise, but pending UFA Kyle Okposo is all but certainly headed to market. At 28, the winger is just entering his prime years, so expect there to be some fairly huge interest in him come July 1.
as per Lebrun... Okposo just entering his prime ...
Stamkos too old to sign...almost done..leafs should pass |

Best case is obvious.
30 + 31 = 61

yeah - good comprehensive read.
makes me think there is a little more urgency to the selling teams than I thought.

They'd target Nylander if he's still available.
I can't see them trading up for a Dman |

I just don’t think that’s how the leafs operate. From management to coaches to players – the leafs target specific people to acquire and go out and get them.
I think they do the same with a goalie trade on draft day.

Some team destined to regret handing 40 million to Okposo? |

That's what I took away too. Better to be out in front as a seller. BobbyMac and Lebrun suggesting they expect a really busy month. |
