I'm willing to bet that Babcock loves the power plays he creates.
- the_eye

and the penalty kills not so much.
When the dive works, great.
When it doesnt, its just bad.

I was same with tucker....his diving and dramatics became too much after a while.

if you have a choice of BB or RC who is your choice to coach?
- senstroll

Personally? I think Boudreau coaches a better brand of hockey

But only one of them has a cup

Just glad we have Babcock here, and don't have to worry about it

Gretzky in '96?
- DeflatedPucks

An interesting suggestion. But Gretzky was 35 years old - still a point a game plus - but not a 26 year old. I would have loved to have him retire a Leaf.

His diving.
The only thing I dont like about him.

Well his whining too....but he's stop that.

- Fakepartofme

He doesn't flop like other guys tho.. He goes down easy often when the opponent has their stick in his legs.. He might draw more penalties because of it, but I wouldn't say hes a serial diver.. Also he takes a lot of abuse as we saw late in the regular season when there were tons of missed calls. Kadri does fall easy, but he doesn't fake getting tripped of highsticked like the PK's o the league.

The ultimate goal of every coach and team? I'd say it has lots.

Just because I prefer a coaching style doesn't necessarily mean it is more effective.

I'm not an RC fan, but he has a cup and Boudreau doesn't

That's all.

I never said he was the worse in the league.
But he is well known for it around the league.

there was dive he took late last season where it looked like he got shot. It was hilarious and horrible, even the broadcast team made some jokes.

that's #1 on my wish list at the draft... Trade any of the prospects and other picks to get it done (not Bill Ny or Marner obviously)

They wont move up unless they have a good idea of who they will get. IMO
We really need D.

are you serious?

08 - Datsyuk, Zetterberg
09 - Crosby, Malkin
10 - Toews, Bolland*
11 - Begeron, Krejci
12 - Kopitar, Carter, Richards
13 - Toews
14 - Kopitar, Carter
15 - Toews
16 - Crosby, Malkin

I mean unless you're the Hawks, you pretty much need some great to elite centers

- DeflatedPucks

And Patrick Sharp was playing a lot of centre for the 'Awks those years.

That shows smart cap management and that they like him.
But to say they all love him...is a bit much.

They like his play publicly.

- Fakepartofme

Worth noting, in that same interview with Lou, he was also pumping Phaneuf's tires, Then traded his "captain" for a 2nd, a middling prospect, and a bunch of salary dumps.

i think the Leafs like Kadri at the price they paid, and well they should. He could be a very good 3rd line, and spot on he second line, center. He was a good signing.

Bruce Boudreau is the third best coach in terms of winning percentage in NHL history
one spot ahead of Bowman. Will soon pass Dan Bylsma for 2nd. Babcock is #9 on the list. RC is not in the top ten - so Boudreau > RC - hands down.

Number 1 on my wish list would be Juolevi. Sadly, there is no chance they can trade up for either.
