As we've talked about, great this team is mostly untouched for next season- but will be a tough haul to repeat. Super short offseason this year with a lot of our guys going to the World Cup. Crosby, Malkin, Horny, Hagelin, Mattaa, and Murray all on World Cup rosters- those guys will be playing high stakes games again by September, then to expect another Mid-June run out of them may be too much to ask, especially with the tempo of game Sully has the boys playing. The fact Letang and Kessel didn't get picked is almost a blessing in disguise.

That is the best.

That's the only reason I threw it out there. I have no idea why Colorado would trade either player but its being talked about as much as Drouin was last TDL. The plus is probably Sprong or at least 2nd round picks. I think Colorado is a prime team to rob blindly so we dont need to go overboard on making it a fair deal.

Based on past history they will value guys like Hornqvist and Maatta like gold nuggets imo.

Sprong or the two 2nd round picks don't make up the disparity for that deal. It has to be something more significant IMO.

What a season for yous guys. From the coaching change on it was obvious things were really coming together on the wrong side of the state. That Sullivan didn't run away with the Jack Adams is a testament to how laughable an award it is.
