I firmly believe Murray will acquire an all star player for the first line

if not stamkos, he will overpay in a trade to get a stud

Thornton and Marleau retire at the end of their contracts, IMO.

SJ would be smart to unload and rebuild before they fall flat and have nothing left, see Vancouver.

Honestly probably is just people projecting their own feelings. Feel if they were in that situation they'd want to leave and be "the star" somewhere else. But who knows? Malkin could be pretty darn happy in Pittsburgh and having won a couple Stanley Cups could do that. Could easily be happy being part of a great duo. And really if he was unhappy, I think he would have asked for a trade long before this championship.

People just want Malkin available for their team so they project what they want onto him. Even if the Pens might want some cap relief...if you can keep your two best players together you'll probably do it.
