Regardless, I think the first 20-30 games of the season can be written off as Bylsma seeing what he had with the roster. Realistically people probably only had about 50 games of playing with linemates/pairings with a good bit of confidence that they would remain together.

I know a bunch of people were pissed at the "meaningless wins" late in the season, but I was happy to see the growth throughout the year and the improvements made with time spent together. I think it bodes well going forward.

I understand the new coach/teammate thing, but we just saw a team win the cup that changed coaches mid-season, and immediately played 10x better.

I just think we need a lot more out of the pieces we have. Plus better depth

just curious, why keep Deslauriers over gus and why are we giving up on Pysyk all ready?

Good question. I keep Des because he has a defined, 4th line role.

Gus has value, much more value than a few of us give him credit for. As does Pysyk. When I say 'toss', I don't mean they're Leinos, they're quality trade pieces. ZG himself as well as the team is having a real tough time defining his role. As far as Pysyk, I would use him to upgrade the defense position. He plays his role well and quietly, I just think we can get something more useful involving him.
