It would probably take trading Reinhart. They want a top line center. Crazy but i would consider it. Gotta ask yourself if Puljuarvi would be better suited on the wing than Reinhart long term because the reality is Reinhart will never play center here

I wouldn't trade Reinhart. Even if the Stamkos deal falls through, Pittsburgh had 3 lines going. Reinhart could be your 3rd line center. I still think you can trade other pieces for the players we need.

I can, for a young established top 2-3 D man.

Reinhart will be very good, but he will always be 2nd or 3rd fiddle here.

If you are able to land a Lindholm/Barrie/Trouba caliber D man, you have to consider.

Why...on earth...would we ever trade Reinhart or Risto

and if your answer is "well we could draft a winger for eichel!!!"....that's not gonna fly...GMTM is not going to trade Reinhart, who we've invested time in, and who has proven himself as an asset, for a draft pick who hasn't proved poop

If he does he's an idiot

And the trading Risto talk....you don't trade away your #1 D-man.

We have a problem scoring goals. Defending them isn't a problem.

I fully believe Reinhart has the potential be like a John Tavares, but he still has to prove it. He has proven very little in terms of establishing himself as a top line center.

The only way I trade Reinhardt if for a D-man coming back of similar age and skill level.

If you moving out Reinhart to bring in a Hall I do that 10/10. You already have ROR and Eichel down the middle. There is a need for an elite winger for Eichel.

You're right. However you can find wingers via trade or FA much easier than good D men.

In a perfect world I'd rather sign Yandle or Goligoski and keep Sam.

Not saying I am pushing to trade Reinhart, but they have to bolster both forwards and D

For all the love Taylor Hall gets, he has been in the league 6 years and has yet to crack 30 goals.

He seems to be a bit overrated, IMO.

It's easier to draft a winger who will have immediate impact than it is to draft a D-Man who will impact right away.

For the appropriate D-man, I might consider trading Sam, but boy it would have to be a good.

To get Hall and Pick #4 (trade with Girgenson for #3 - Puljujarvi) the Sabres end up with two stud wingers.

As much as I don't want Reinhart gone, it really makes sense. He played hockey near edmonton most his life, is great friends with McDavid, is a Center (where we are loaded right now), holds a lot of "potential" value. If the return is a star winger, you can't be too mad.

If that random rumor guy is right, the lineup could look something like this.. (with Salaries)

Hall 6 Stamkos 10.75 R. O'Reilly 7.5
Kane 5.25 Eichel 0.93 Vesey 1
Foligno 2.25 Larsson 0.95 Ennis 4.6
Deslaiers 0.85 Gionta 4.25 Fashing 0.85
Moulson 5 C. O'Reilly 0.7 Bailey 0.75
F/A #2 Puljujarvi 0.9

Bogosian 5.2 Ristolainen 6
Gorges 3.9 McCabe 2
Nelson 1 Franson 3.3
Guhle 0.8
Pick 2 ('16) 0.8
