I don't like streaming TV. The idea of paying to watch shows on my non-HD computer monitor does not appeal to me. But I appreciate the advice. - jmatchett383

uhhh yeah...doubtful - YuenglingJagr
I was thinking about expansion and AMac.....
One d man (two forwards as well) you make eligible has to have 40 games played this upcoming season or 70 the last 2 years and still be under contract. So, we obviously groan at the idea of AMac playing 40 games this year (since he only played 28 last year) all to not even be taken in expansion....but it doesn't have to be AMac. Flyers want to resign Manning, so why not resign him to 2 years at a minimum value that can be sent down to AHL without cap consequences. He played 56 games last year. All he needs are 14 games, which surely he can get as a 6/7. 70 games, under contract, adheres to criteria. And you can still leave AMac open to expansion. |

Yes. I find the majority of your retorts to be childish in nature, and find your love of unskilled goons unwise. |

Would you have more respect for him if his name was "klotz"?
He was a 3rd round pick. Better than a 6th surely. |

Garrett Klotz is possibly the worst draft pick in Flyers history, and that's saying something. And I'm not saying worst based on where he was picked, the worst ever.
Now, Roman Vopat, on the other hand, while not a Flyers pick...THERE'S a winner. |

2007 was a special draft to look back on. Selected Jordan Weal and a 3rd round pick #2 overall. Then chose Kevin Marshall in the 2nd two spots above Subban. Klotz selected #66 with 4 points in 63 games. Mario Kempe in the 5th round 7 spots ahead of Jamie Benn.
The draft the stars fell on. |

I was thinking about the expansion as well, regarding the effect it will have on the Draft. I wasn't aware of the game minimum aspect but I believe another criteria is exposing at least 25% of your overall salary. Teams at the cap floor may not have enough salary exposed to meet that requirement. Someone like AMAC may help in that situation.
Either way, this draft and the next trade deadline are the last two punctuated times to get ready since the expansion draft happens before the 2017 amateur draft, and between them, I think the amateur draft is when teams are thinking more long-term.
So taking into account all the expansion draft criteria (assuming there is an expansion, which is assumed but not confirmed), there could be a lot of unforeseen moves on the way.

I forget which forum I saw this proposed, but I kinda like the idea. What would people think of a Hagg for Joshua Jacobs trade? I'm not really one of those people who want to get rid of Hagg, but I see him as movable if the right deal comes along. It also wouldn't deplete the defensive depth in the system.
It would be a pure hockey trade, swapping a LHD for a RHD. We don't have much in the RHD department, while the Devils don't have much for LHD prospects. I know that people will say that handedness doesn't really matter, but I'd rather have the option to go with a righty.
Thoughts? |

Really? He was 8th d man last year. Remove Meddy, add Provy. Still 8th d man. He isn't playing over Gudas, Provy, Streit, MDZ, Ghost, Schultz, even Manning. It's truly amazing. If MDZ never went down, he may never have played at all besides that 1 game. |

It's rare that they give the award to someone on the losing team. I can't remember the last but I'm pretty sure it was before the '05 lockout.
But yeah, I would have picked Kessel or Couture over Crosby.
