He has a point though. A lot of peripheral and rookie players absolutely stepped up with amazing performances.

No, his point was to mock the Flyers contracts, which falls in line with his, "Every move the Flyers make is wrong," stance.

Ugh yeah I guess. It's not healthy to self-loathe the team you love. MacDonald and Streit contracts aren't great but I feel like most teams have 1-2 pretty bad contracts.

I'm hoping Bean, Rubtsov, Bellows, or Kunin at #18. Move back into the end of the first round to grab Abramov.

Never have enough good blueline prospects in the system. All things being equal, I believe they have higher value in trade discussions then forwards or goalies, just my opinion. No issue with Hexy going dman in the first round.

Giroux had hip surgery?

- Scoob

He held hands with Ghost for their procedures. True teammates.

IMO only the MacDonald contract is bad. Streits deal only looks bad Because he had the horrible pubic injury, even the amac deal is only poor because of the length.

Yup, Streit's deal isn't that big of a deal cause it's off the books after next season, and maybe he can be traded for something. AMac's deal is pretty (frank)ing horrid.

But I also agree a whole boatload of Pens played out of their minds to win the cup, starting with the team D clamping down on everyone, then with Murray, and then Bonino, Cullen, Sheary, Rust and all the rest. Lightning in a bottle.

Also, with Streit his contract his tradeable and will probably get decent return. He was signed for probably one year too long. His role was reduced with the emergence of Ghost. Without his development, Streit is still on the first PP unit. He won't be resigned, but I don't look at Streit being signed in free agency as a mistake.

Umberger & MacDonald making more than the 5 Pens dmen, Rust, Sheary, and Murray combined.

I dont understand why you still complain about these two items.

Maybe Streit bounces back next season and puts up better numbers but no doubt Gostibehere will take a major chunk out of Streit's normal points-producing minutes (QB 1st PP unit, etc). The Flyers signed Streit as a 35 year old to a 4 year deal. They definitely received some quality ROI but it looks like there isn't much left in the tank.

RL 27 is the only forward to win a losing cause. In fact the other 4 were all goaltenders.

Oh for sure, no one, and I mean no one, disappears in the spotlight as elitely as Joe Pavelski.

Maybe he took his cue from Claude this year?
