The most interesting and complicated part of the players that must be exposed is the 40/70 rule. Of this list the only player the Leafs would be willing to lose on this list is Lupul. He currently does not qualify - because he did not play enough games in 2015-16 and must play another 24 games to qualify. I'm not sure about whether his no-trade clause allows him to be exposed though. The Leafs need to expose 2 forwards an one d-man from this list and if it is a free agent signed this year it has to be a 2 year contract.
