Backes may be overpriced and too long term. He's getting old and breaking down.

Plus with liach and lupul and greening and mihalek all getting 4-5mil there isn't a lot of room.

We decided to head out to Grimsby - found a nice place that was much less expensive than anything we found in the city. Ended up at about $85 per person for 5 course meal and evening buffet, 6 hours of open bar, room rental and all the trimmings, plus the ceremony on site in the hotel grounds on the edge of the lake. We only had about 100 people too which helped keeo the costs down... all in, including our flights back from Edmonton at the time, we managed to get everything in for under $20k. My time working in Fort MAc did a nice job of covering all of that

Probably not going to happen. Teams that slated to pick in or around Juolevi need Dmen. I'm not sure TML can offer a D in a package that would entice a team to move their top 10 pick. Picks alone won't do it. Unless a team would want JVR, perhaps there is something you can do there.

What TML could do is move up into the teens and grabbing a guy like Fabbro. As long as the team would take picks as compensation. You have the picks to do it.

As for Guddy..... He's exactly what VAN doesn't have. Someone to clear the net and make it harder to play against. Teams ran all over VAN last year. His intangibles are invaluable as well.

People who don't like him look at analytics. The majority of analysts love him.

D aren't cheap. There's a price to pay thats for sure. Losing McCann sucks, but Boeser on the way and adding Tkachuk/Dubois fills that void.

Atleast we didn't trade McCann and 33rd overall for Griffin Reinhart

The Sens have been slowly going downhill for quite some time. Yeah, the Leafs have been bad, but they're finally, FINALLY, embracing that, and will look better pretty damn soon.

the Sens and Canucks are probably two of the biggest messes in the NHL. Two of the biggest douchebag collection of fans for franchises too. Canucks, I think it's because of the city they live in. The Sens, because being sandwiched between the two most important franchises has given them little d*&k syndrome. Both teams are in bad need of some top talent, but neither will bite the bullet, clean house, and go get it.

I think the hate they spew at Leaf fans though is a little unfair. They should try to remember, that if it weren't for Leaf fans and Habs fans filling their arena, they probably wouldn't have a franchise. They should be a little more thankful. Also, a lot of our dollars have gone to them over the years through revenue sharing.

* Got a 2nd for Polak
