If there's one free agent that I'd want other than Stamkos, it'd be Eriksson.

I don't see us investing big money into any free agent winger unless we trade JvR

Were heavy in upcoming talent on the wings and all those guys want long term deals. Doesn't make sense to me

I think it's Stamkos or bust. If we miss him, we'll sign a couple short term deals like years past

No, I wish you'd show some respect to a great man that just passed away. This wasn't the only moronic comment you made in this thread on the subject.

I guess this isn't as bad as posting pictures of aborted fetuses on a hockey rumour site, but the death of a man as respected as Gordie Howe is not something to be joked about IMO.

You wouldn't have the balls to do half this crap in person, let alone stand face to face with someone that wanted to punch you.

How the f did the dutch fail to qualify for euro this year?

Honestly though, the team looks so exciting. I keep reverting back to this lineup

JvR - Stamkos - Marner
Nylander - Matthews - Brown
Komarov - Kadri - Soshnikov
Michalek - Laich - Hyman
Leivo

Rielly - Zaitsev
Gardiner - Carrick
Hunwick - Marincin
Harrington - Corrado

Bernier/new goalie
Whoever wants to backup

That's doing nothing but signing Stammer! Hopefully can trade Bozak and find a way to acquire a defenceman that could push Zaitsev and Carrick down a slot. Some d-men in the system like Dermott, Nielsen or Valiev could be ready to play in a couple years as well

I like at that lineup a lot! They could be a legitimate threat for a playoff spot next year with Stammer up top. The East stinks!

- t_leafs21

The east may stink but will probably win the Cup.

And I think Washington is better than San Jose as well.

I'm as shocked as you are.

I don't follow soccer a lot so I'm not sure of all the good teams in Euro. I want to get a friend into it, so is there any games that might stand out in group play for him to watch? I'm thinking the Group with Italy in it.

Guess we agree to disagree on Lucic. He is a wiener but that's why I like him and why I think the Leafs could use him with all the young guys projected to be on the roster; and yes, Bozak could stay. I just think trading him for a decent 4-6 dman would be more beneficial. The thought of a Lucic Kadri Komarov line makes me smile.
- gamedaytix

Just trade for Pouliott. According to Oilers fans he's the same as Lucic only two years younger!

The top teams like Washington and Pittsburgh are good. The depth isn't. Look at the bottom of the bracket this year

1) Florida vs 4) NY Islanders
2) Tampa vs 3) Detroit

That's terrible. Florida will always be Florida. Tampa are about to get b-itch slapped by the cap and the rest of the teams in our division don't scare me either

Their defence had holes in it.

It was like once a tiny leak sprung, they couldn't fix it - they couldn't figure out how to plug it or...

Damn, I wish there was an analogy I could use here, but I'm just coming up blank.
