Stamkos, Matthews, Kadri, JVR, Reilly, Gardiner, Komarov, and then possibly Nylander, Marner, Brown, Zaitsev, maybe Sosh and Hyman.......

and then we don't know what we have in Loov, Neilsen, Johnson, many more and then this years other 11 picks.

Bob Mackenzie gave the $9.5M-$10.5M range several months ago. I was sticking to that for a long while.

Based on Stamkos’ season & health, the cap, the kadri/reilly deals…my best guess now is a little less than that.

But bonus heavy contract to limit escrow.

It all adds up ...

Leafs will make the playoffs next year in their 100th year & will win the Cup as well... 50 year anniversary since their last cup . Come on now, get with the program!!

It looks to me like there's too much youth on the right side... I don't see Marner playing on the top line immediately. I'd wager that someone like Hyman would get bumped up to the top line and Marner would play further down... and Komarov might get swapped to the RW if Babcock thinks a vet neets to slot in for the top 6.

If we were projecting lineups for 2017-2018, I'd be more inclined to agree with you though.

I honestly think JVR is used to acquire another top 4 dman or goalie.. just my prediction . But wouldn't mind him staying at all either.

Yeah but in his projected line-up, the Kadri line would get the tough opposition match-ups. So having a young RW with two vets in JVR and Stamkos is fine.

Guess we agree to disagree on Lucic. He is a wiener but that's why I like him and why I think the Leafs could use him with all the young guys projected to be on the roster; and yes, Bozak could stay. I just think trading him for a decent 4-6 dman would be more beneficial. The thought of a Lucic Kadri Komarov line makes me smile.
