Chipping a puck off the boards is the laziest play to make as a player. I don't get why so many players constantly try to do so. It's selfish and just a poor decision that more often than not comes back to haunt you. I get when you're dog tired and desperate, but Zubris just literally killed his teams chance to survive .

He's great at finding talent yet he passed on tarasenko moved the pick right when tarasenko was right there ( that tells me he never had him in his rankings because there's no way in hell he does not take he's too smart )

He passed on barbashev who was ranked in the top 15 all year

For every Tarasenko there are 12 Nikita filatovs. I see where you're coming from and I agree that he shouldn't have a prejudice against Russians but it is what it is. And as a rookie GM he can't afford to miss on a pick or else he's screwed.

Other then Malkin and his 2 goals in his last 18 games, every single Russian that is tasked with leading his team or being the main guy are all sitting at home right now

Draft tarasenko obviously the head scout and Brian Murray have a thing against Russians and obviously did not have him in his rankings . if they did they would've drafted him they're not stupid .. They traded the pick right at the draft right when they were picking for Rundblad
