I disagree. He orchestrated their tank that got eichel, got O'Reilly for a reasonable price, saw the sabres improve by 27 points despite a lot of injuries. The jury is still out in Kane/Bogo trade and the lehner trade + we'll see what this offseason brings, but to say he's done nothing is a stretch

If he over pays for FA's and gives up a lot of prospects and picks in trades that seem to be for a "win now" attitude, I will question if his orders are coming from ownership.

It's really not that hard to find guys that "have a shot" at the NHL. That's kind of what the draft is for in general

Good points. I'm not a lover of gmtm yet either and do agree that he begins being judged this offseason, but what he's done so far is good. I selfishly didnt like the lehner trade when it happened, ruined my draft day viewing excitement a bit, but I forgave him later in the day with the O'Reilly trade.

Yea but like 20 out of the 200+ players drafted each year actually play in the show. If these players had the years they had this year the previous year no way they make it to rounds 2, 3, and 6 respectively.

Only problem I have with Murray is that he does not have Russians in his rankings That's the only problem I have with him
