Also by your and gerbes logic, the scouting directer takes the players in the draft, Devine with Darcy, and murray when he was in Ottawa, so he wasn't even the one passing on Russians the past two years.

I'm just saying let's give him another draft or two before we jump to conclusion.

Bondra, while not Ukrainian was anything but average, he was pretty amazing, he's got 503 goals and 892 points in 1081 games. Zhitnik was a really, really good player for a long time in this league. Fedotenko had a nice, solid, 863 game NHL career. Poni was very similar to Fedotenko, scored about .5 ppg over 678 games.

It's not the same here. Murray has more of an input on drafting than Darcy did.

All I'm saying is I don't think it's a coincidence. I don't think it's an issue yet, at least here
