That's only me and you buddy everything thinks he's a great captain and you should not give up the C to Ryan O'Reilly

Bogosian he's just a hitting machine

molasses well he slithers around maybe a goal will come off his ass

I still think Him, Foligno and Larsson would be a good 3rd or 4th line that would frustrate the hell out of other teams. Just cant pay them all 4M/year….Larsson is a good start paycheck wise.
- seedy

You see the problem with this I think Gus thinks he's more than that and I think he's asking for 4m

Not much else out there that's attainable on the left side. Unless you want to take on Browns deal to get Muzzin which no one on here seems to want to do....

I'd like Golakoski but Dallas is reportedly making him a priority. A top four of

Fowler Risto
McCabe Bogosian

is pretty decent even though you'd like more defense out of Bogosian. Fowler is a very good puck mover and great at clearing the puck out of the zone without icing it.

- bluengold12

This is true but he has a remarkably poor shot suppression rate which is alarming because this is something the ducks did so well once they turned their season around. Whats more is I dont think they can acquire fowler as cheaply as you have mentioned on here. I think he'll cost a decent amount and hes not really someone id want to pay big for.

I can't see him costing too much. Murray (Anaheim) will be relieved to find out he can keep his two young studs and get something in return. Our highest 3rd, our 2nd next year and Bailey maybe if we're trying to sweeten the pot. But I think that's too much.

I think our 3rd Girgensons and say Florentine can get it done maybe throw in next years 2nd

Ideally if Z can produce at a 15 goal 20 assist pace he'd be a perfect 3rd line center and Larsson a 4th.
- bluengold12

I actually like them both being on the same line and getting good at face-offs. Kind of a "defensive line #2" if the O'rilley line is just gassed.
If Larsson gets tossed out of the faceoff circle, either one of the other guys should be able to take a face-off at 45-ish percent.
Its all strategy with your bottom 6. I think if they can sell Foligno and Girgensons on being workhorses, we might have a good thing going. If they both think they're "Jamie McGinn 2.0" they're in for a rude awakening…..

Why do people want Fowler? He is not that good. And I think we are in trouble if we want him on our top pair.

Sidney Crosby asked for his number in his contract so it's really not that uncommon
- GERBE!!!75PTS

Yeah but Crosby also got a 37 year contract. Stamkos can only get 7 from the Leafs.

Thing is both female doged when not playing center and they both played best when being center so I don't think the two can coexist on a line together.

Saw 28 at the Galleria today... He was surprisingly very normal looking. Not big at all for that 6'3 height
- bluengold12

Most hockey players aren't very big, not like you'd think. I saw Risto at Wegmans last year and sure, he was tall, but he just looked like a normal, in shape, college kid who are a dime a dozen at the Amherst St Wegmans. They're more endurance athletes than say a guy from the NFL whose players are built like brick poop houses because they only have to run for 8 seconds at a time, if that.

I like this top 4. Obviously it would be better with Lindholm in it but that likely isn't going to happen. I am also fine with substituting Yandle for Fowler.

I feel like larsson has beat out Girgensons as a bottom 6 center. not sure if girgs can play one wing and Foligno the other, but on a legit playoff team, i think they would be an admirable 3rd-4th line. None of the the 3 of these players have any right to demand anything right now if Jamie McGinn is refusing 4M+ per year.
I think all the hype saying they want 3 or 4 mil per year is BS.
Sign your contract and prove your worth.

Yeah. I suspect his height has been embellished. For all those who say he's suppose to be a power forward he has a long way to go. I wasn't right next to him but I saw him a good twenty yards out as him and his girl walked by and he definitely didn't look a guy who could lay the lumber on bigger guys
- bluengold12

Neither does Mike Peca. That dude is plain small. And he could lay mother(frank)ers out.

I'm talking about the 87 number in his contract like Stamkos wants 91 in his contract

Kind of a different time period. Games aren't called the same way. I loved Mike Peca, but i doubt he would have had any impact in todays game.
some of the hits he put on players would be 5-8 game suspensions now.
…..and he never even got caught using the F@g-word…...

Button has chychrun at 17 in his final rankings....

Sometimes I I can't tell if button is for real or if he is losing it

Also has Keller at 6 and nylander at 10 which I actually kind of agree with

People thought I was crazy when I said nylander could fall out of the top 10

I think it is an age thing.

Girgs and Risto are still very young. Most fill out into their bodies at 25.

Scott Stevens would never last a half season in todays game.

Dirtiest POS to ever play. Every hit was an elbow.

I understand that. The point is Crosby could take $8.7M because the last 3 years of his contract only total $9M combined. Stamkos can't do that now, so he'll get more than $9.1M. I don't think he signs for any less than Kane/Toews.
