He's burnt a lot of bridges in the KHL. The KHL is also struggling financially and are talking about losing a couple to a few teams.

Prime players get paid; radulov isn't a prime player anymore its that simple. He doesn't listen, he plays when he wants to play....not a lot of coaches and teams want to deal with that.

He will most likely sign the 2 year 7.5 deal.

No way, Marincin is a much better defender. The guy just kills plays in the D zone. Hunwick brought Reilly's underlying numbers down all year. Not a bad player but Marincin has a much higher ceiling

love to see demers and Polak in Toronto. But both will get over 4 million per season. Leafs and red wings have talked about Brendan smith coming over for over a season now....not sure how that would work....but he may be worth a flyer if it doesn't cost much.

Polak at 4mil. I don't think the leafs need to go down that road again, and certainly not at 4mil.

Demers at 4mil is a bit more than he's currently at, and may be a bit of an overpayment but not too bad I don't think.

I read that Pavel wants to return to Russia for family and he wanted to finish his playing career in his homeland.

Gilmour had several 80-100 point seasons in an era of wide open scoring. 80 points in the 80s wasn't that big of an accomplishment. Enter the 90s of clutch and grab, right wing lock....neutral zone traps...,and he put up over 100 points....with maturity and a ton of heart.

Marner will go back to junior and win another memorial cup.

Except Gilmour was typically top 3 in scoring on his teams for several years before coming to Toronto. The guy had a hall of fame career, not just a couple good seasons with the leafs.

I doubt the decision on marner is made.

But I would think the roster spot is marner’s to lose. His development in the ohl is done imo. Time to progress to the next level.

Brown can always be called up during the year if doesn’t make the opening night roster.

Ya but Rich Clune will be on the Leafs at some point next season...so

Huh? Being signed to a contract doesn't mean they are in the nhl. He was saying they won't be in the nhl (whether that's right or wrong) but that had nothing to do with contract.

A lot of these guys aren't getting paid.....regularly. Dats is going home literally to be to with his family and he's made his money....real paid out money. These guys are reporting HUGE contracts that don't get paid out because the teams are struggling. A lot of the Russians playing there play for less more for pride than money; but mainly because they can't get contracts in the NHL. There are exceptions obviously but not many.
