sup lums, how are you today my good man?
- Lucas.Neilson

Doing well buddy, you? Awesome FB pics of the little guy yesterday, loved the story!!!

As it happens, my cousin (who is apparently a pretty decent player now) spent his first ever game sitting on the ground playing with the dandelions rather than actually playing, so there's hope yet!!!

I pretty sure it means...it can be Cap LTIR relief but not actual $$$ relief.

Some would rather just argue all day.

- Garnie

You didnt read it did you? That's not what he said. If he wasn't conveying it properly why be a Richard about it and say I should read the cba about it ?

He's a fake. A phony. All he's done is come on here and lie.

The order of getting insurance and getting injured does....that's all I'm saying.

You're right that the LTIR point he made is wrong but I have a feeling there might be additional LTIR stipulations like if you sign a player knowing he has an existing injury?? Maybe that's what he was trying to convey.

Don't really care about the BURN/KG skirmish either way but I think if CBJ signed Horton thinking he would recover from his shoulder issue and the shoulder issue kept him out of the line up....there might be a LTIR issue...meaning Columbus couldn't use LTIR.

Like I said, I don't have all the info, this sh1t is for lawyers.

- underhill14

Whether a contract is insured or not does in no way affect whether at team can place a player on LTIR or not. CBJ can & did put him on the reserve without issue. The problem was that because he wasn't insured, the actual organization had to pay him dollars out of their own pocket to have him sit at home. They aren't rich & they would rather pay Clarkson basically the same amount to actually play. If you can call what he does playing. The Leafs on the other hand were more than happy to pay Horton that much to sit at home if it meant getting out from under Clarkson's albatross contract.

I don't see how anyone can be proud to sport a knockoff jersey.
- TheMussel

I wouldn't buy a jersey over $60 myself.

Not that i'm proud...but I also don't drive to the game in a $150,000 - $300,000 sports car/suv like the players

Players live like royalty from the age of about 15 for life.

(frank) them I'm not paying $200-$300 for a jersey...sorry (just my opinion )

Really? I've never been so afraid of the future as a Leafs fan... at least considering the way other people talk about them.

I hope so. I'm so happy about Matthews that I don't feel the need to argue with anybody anymore. I've been in a Zen state since the lottery win.

for the amount I wear the jersey - it's worth every penny to me. but I agree if you only wear it once or twice a year, you don't really need to spend 300 bucks on a legit NHL.com jersey.

I guess if I had the bucks i would buy one...but man..imagine taking a family of 4 to a game....parking/a jersey for each kid/hot dogs/drinks/1 beer

it would cost me more than a couple mortgage payments

I'm waiting for the right player to get mine, so I've been biding my time on getting a jersey. It'll come in super handy when the Leafs are great and the Habs suck though, so I wanna make sure it's an extra special jersey.

I wear hats and the like for the time being.

I like to stay away from the obvious ones, though Marner would be high on my list.

Depends on who else starts looking good out there but Brown could well be on the list, Komarov has always been in the back of my mind, Kadri just for the hell of it, Rielly if he puts up a really good season. JVR is up there too.
