The Flyers were extremely fortunate that they had MacDonald when Del Zotto went down. If they had to play another call up, they may have struggled to make the playoffs. MacDonald played solid hockey after the call up, indicated by Hakstol's trust in him, including playing him 22 minutes in game 6, with the season on the line.

Not a narrative, simply what happened. Should've been with the Flyers the entire season, but I understand why they did it.
