Really? I think Murray is a distant 3rd to Kessel and Crosby. He had a couple shaky performances, was benched a game, and has only really stolen one game. He's been phenomenal considering he's a rookie, but he's only been good all things being equal. Good isn't good enough to win the Conn Smythe.

I agree it's between Kessel and Crosby. Sids been more dominant in games but Kessel has been more productive.....either way I'm sure both could care less if they get to lift the cup

Gotta think all three are close:

Kessel
Murray
Crosby

I see it close between Phil and Murray, a shutout by Murray could put him over the top or another strong game by Phil could do the same.

- Weisenheimer

I want it to go to Phil or Sid. Both deserve it. Both have a lot of poopy narratives about them.

No way do I think a distant third. I will say he is in between PK and Sid. Think Sid is third. Pretty simple ... we aren't in the Cup final if Murray doesn't do what he is doing. Sid has laid some clunkers too in the play-offs. Do I need to post the threads of the games?

Seriously think right now its between PK and Murray. If Sid has a great game Thursday night, it will be very interesting.

I agree that it is between MM and The Phil. If I had to vote today, I would give it to his Philness.

I mean you can make that argument about pretty much every Stanley Cup winning goalie. Even Niemi. "If the goalie loses games for us, then we're not making the SCF" is basically what that argument is. I think we've gotten so use to sub .910 sv% in the playoffs that we've forgotten what getting the job done looks like.

This aint over. So therefore I refuse to talk about Conn Smythe or anything else like that. Expect the Sharks team from period 3 of game 4, all game next game.

With the way we have played; sat back in third periods in somewhat tight games after getting the lead, he has delivered despite that. Nine of our play-off wins have come by one one, four on overtime. Sure, he has allowed some softies, but let's not forget some of the play-off games Sid did nothing. That is not an attack on him, or me saying he needs dealt. Sid hasn't played well every game either. Felt Murray by far was far more valuable to Pittsburgh last night than Sid and there have been others too I've felt the same.

Part of me, if we win this (not jinxing it), wants to see Murray get it. The other side, wants to see PK get it to give a middle finger to Torts and the rest of the USA Hockey brass who made the decision to leave him off.

Interviewer: "So, Logan, how was Fehr able to make that shot?"

Couture: "He cheats, but, you know, he's Eric Fehr. "

Interviewer: "How does he cheat?"

Couture: "He elevates his shots, but whatever. He gets away with it because of who he is."
