They definitely took on the demeanour of the their coach under MJ.

When you watch some of that video on Showtime, it's so obvious Sully has their backs. MJ on the other hand never said a word to the refs.

- madmike71

Did he even know which ones were the refs?

seriously. i dont know how much of it is just being new. i get it, coaches have a short shelf life. but you get the feeling that to a man they would skate through a wall for this guy.

everything you read. just trust. they like him. but at the same time he has balls and will bench players. its not like the dan days where it was like yeah yeah buddy were cool no worries.

ESPN is unreal, the night of an NBA Finals game, the entire Sports Center is dedicated to the game and coverage. The night of an NHL game, no more than 5 minutes is spent on it. Kimbo Slice . . .

I'm surprised they put that much effort in it.

He knew to be afraid of the refs. I absolutely believe he was afraid to speak up.

I don't think so. Pretty sure you have to dress for over half the games in the regular season. Duper didn't do that. Bennett won't be on the Cup either. Nor Wilson.
- Victoro311

If you play 40 games or just one game in playoffs you are automatically on the cup. So bennet and dp will be on it. Than you get aome much space for other names like owners and coach and other things. They will find a way to get Duper on it.

Would not be shocked if he is on the ice, in uniform getting cup 2nd from Sid.

Dan Bylsma was basically the freshman year RA that you thought was the bomb after years of living under your authoritarian dad's reign through highschool who'd ground you for a month if he caught you with beer (Therrien). He'd give you a wink when he smelled pot coming from your room and occasionally buy you beer, and it had its perks. Got you to come out of your shell in a brave new world and discover new sides of yourself you never knew existed by just letting you be yourself. But eventually you just turned into a complete degenerate due to lack of an authority figure and you lost all semblance of respect for your cool RA who just seemed like a loser trying to make friends with the underclass men because he didn't have any friends his own age.

Sullivan is that one professor you meet by the time that you're an upper classman. He's a hard ass but he's only that way because he believes in you and actually respects you as a student even if your grades weren't always the best due to how big of a poop head you became as an under classman. He's the guy that eventually gets you to buy into his class and subject matter and inspires you to find your calling beyond the classroom. He's the guy you love to respect. Unlike your dad who you hated to respect and unlike your RA who you loved but didn't respect at all.

Its a disgrace. Weve discussed it before, but im stuck with it over here, no other options. I feel for guys that are passionate about the game like Bucci, and they treat it like its a novelty.

Mike Johnston was that one professor who had that one really successful book that one time and achieved tenure but then ended up sucking at his job.

What I have been saying all along...

Don't move Flower... split him and Murray 50-50, make sure Murray wasn't a 1 and done type of goalie. If Murray stays legit, deal Flower whenever the time or offer is right. Could be at the trade deadline, before, whenever.

- Guile

Ya, in fact trading him at the deadline instead if Murray proves hes good enough would make them probably get more for him.

That's kind of why Bucci is the way he is, I feel like. Kind of like SVP with golf. They legitimately love it but ESPN won't give them the light of day so they resort to overcompensation.

I've said it a million times I wish the college gameday crew, SVP, and Bucci would break off and form their own network. The guys that are legitimately passionate about their sports and are dedicated to good coverage and not just sensationalized narratives. Then they could poach Doc away from putrid NBC. Would love watch a game that Doc calls and then cuts to Bucci for analysis between periods instead of JR and Dingle.

This reminds me. Anyone else grow out a beard for the playoffs? I already had one so I'm just letting it get long in a bad way. My family hates it so much. Doesnt seem many people still do this.
