Not really. They still built their team around the same players. They just used different pieces.

Well when you add a 3rd superstar to the mix that plays on the 3rd line and are getting production from rookies like Sheary and Rust on rookie deals that's the difference.

It is both surprising and underwhelming the amount of post-season success they've had. Good on them being poised to win a cup this year - but during Crosby's "reign" it's been less than one might expect.
