On his way out of Buffalo, Makarov made sure to make his displeasure clear, too. Per a rough translation of the interview with Sport-Express, Makarov said he felt he was mistreated by the club, put in a separate locker room and insinuated Sabres GM Tim Murray was trying to get rid of Buffalo’s Russian players.

Is this some kind of political conspiracy where you want to catch GMTM admitting on hidden camera that he hates Russian people?
Pretty sure the guy will go for BPA in the draft. He works for the team, not his personal feelings towards eastern european players.

I believe he will never draft a Russian .. If he would've gone with the best available player that would've been Barbashev in the 2014 Who was ranked in the top 20
And I believe he didn't pick him because he didn't even have him on his board
