How many free agents are not overpaid? Owners lock out the players cause they say they can't afford them and then sign them to ludacris deals
- Upstate_isles

With the number of vets not getting big ufa contracts and going into camps on tryout contracts the last few years, this is where we look to add to the bottom six (or replace martin)

Just not bernier again please.

Brock Nelson is a 3rd line center on the Islanders, does that mean we can rule him out as a top-6 player?
- eichiefs9

phil kessel is playing 3rd line on the pens..sometimes you just need to tie the right hot dog to the stick...wait, I'm forgetting something about a carrot. you know what i mean though.

I blame that entirely on doug weight. For an offensively talented player, he has created an absolutely garbage pp

True, but wouldn't you as the head coach tell him to change it? Once you see it's not working, you try something different. The difference here though, is when something works once, they automatically change it back. Christ, I change the lineup on my kids' softball team if they're not hitting after a game or 2.

Drove you bonkers I'll bet over a few beers they were like hey jt why does this bumhole keep putting my on my offhand I can't shoot a one timer? Idk Jonny I can't put it in your wheelhouse because our coach has already put you in a position where the d doesn't have to cover up high because you need to do a 180 to get your cannon off......hmmm mmmmmm? Hmmmmmm?

It was a nice read and hopefully Filatov is on the right track.

There are a bunch of KHL teams that still currently owe their players back-salary.

yes but when your head coach shows up to the first practice drinking out of a sippy cup that goes out the window.

Well if Nelson scored 9 goals and then followed up the next season with 13 I'd say yeah you could rule him out

I would consider trading Strome, 19th and possibly something else to move up to #3 and take Puljujarvi. Maybe it doesn't get it done, but that's a big body that is likely to be one hell of a table-setting winger in this league.

I remember that most of the mock drafts had Filatov going 2nd or 3rd overall. With the 5th overall pick the Islanders were supposed to get Pietrangelo..... Snow did a good job, trading down, picking up lots of additional picks, thereby passing on Filatov. I just wish he could have done better than Bailey.

Can that "...possibly something else..." be Cappy? If so, done! You're right, that is a big boy. Be a nice piece to add to the puzzle. Only problem would be how does he not get utilized properly.
