Oh yeah, ask a fair question and get a Down syndrome answer. Seriously, you guys hate the player and want him gone, yet some guys on here figure he'll 5.5-6 mill per from someon else. What's the deal? Or is this typical Islanders fans bullpoop where you all know he's gone so you're getting your bash on early? Because we all know there are no good ex Islanders currently in the NHL, only poopty ones. - Jeropotato
Hamonic would have been a good ex islander unfortunately that didn't work out for you. |

How did this turn into a fire capuano discussion. Hate to say he had a very successful season. Why Bc he didn't make it to conference finals. I put that on the players.
Kucherov was amazing and Hedman was a beast, and once Tavares was gassed, no one stepped up.
Hence why Kyle okposo isn't returning. Why pay him top winger money if he not a top winger. He good by far from great

When doesn't it? I think it was the new ownership and look what the pens did with a new coach. Yea he made the 2nd round but he never seems to game plan for the other team and makes questionable decisions. It's tiring but a source of frustration for the fan base and until the 25th what else do we can to complain about |

wait, so first you try telling me that I would be doing that with Hamonic, and when I pull out an example that shows different, you instead come here and start asking the same question about okposo? Looks like your bullpoop because you're upset we were right about reinhart.

I am sure more than one defenseman has thought it preferable to the Oiler's blue line.

Look at Sullivan behind the bench of the Pens. This was a team that was in the basement at the seasons beginning. This guy came in and brought this team to the cup finals (and are somewhat dominating). Watch him behind the bench.....the guy looks intense and you can see the players respect on their faces. Thats the complete opposite of "im your friend" Capuano. Sorry, but Capuano has never won at any level of hockey EVER. He's not the right guy for the job. Lets not have battered wife syndrom and keep coming back......lets realize that it hasnt worked. Winning a playoff round doesnt make it a successful season this far into a rebuild. |

Chara, Spezza, Nino, Vanek, PA, Moulson, Streit, Spurgeon, your goalie, ... yeah they all suck.. good point.
Isles would sign Ok for 5 mill a year. He wants a lot more..fyi. Neilsen is also a good player.. just wants more than the Isles want to give him. That is why Moulson, Streit, and others are gone.
Most of us don't HATE okposo... (Bailey is another story). We just don't think he is a 7.5 mill a year player. |

Cappy does need to go. We all know that. But no amount of fan ire is gonna get him canned until management is ready to do so. Frustrating as hell but it is what it is.
I wouldn't get too worked up over it.

Im not worked up, and I agree with you about cleaning house first. But, when I see someone start to pat him on the back for winning a round and then fault the players for losing the next its complete crap. Which is it? So its the coach who won the first round and the players who lost the second? How about the fact that the players for 5 years under this coach havent had the ability to hold leads, and get up for big games? Hell, I would laugh at a guy who was giving me instructions on how to win when he's never won anything. Its kind of like working out.......do you wanna train with a guy who looks like his muscles have muscles or a fat slob telling you how to lose weight? |

I've accepted Cappy was coming back after the Isles won a round. It's time to look towards the draft and FA. The new owners deserve a honeymoon period this year. Now if the Isles do not do better than winning a round next year and the new owners keep Garth and Cappy then they get hammered and called Wang's stooges. |
