Thanks Bill. Have you noticed Justin Braun for the Sharks? He has been playing well, and does have some size, and mobility. It would be interesting to see if Hexy would be interested in a trade for him, once the playoffs are over. I realize that he's a D-man, of which we have several in the pipeline, however, maybe we could offer up McD, and Manning as trade bate...lol. Ok, maybe throw in Read, too.

After hearing the swag of Laine I would love to get him. He is going to be fun to watch.

Flyers take a hit with the Datsyuk hit short term for a year but also get a young 3rd line center in Sheahan for the future.

Redwings clear space and get a 3rd rounder so they can maybe make a play for someone like Stamkos or maybe Rudalov.

No, it's not, but think about it. If a team is well under the cap, and needs cap hits to reach the ceiling, they might be interested. Since he is retired, there is no salary paid out, so essentially, it's even better than the Pronger situation. They would have to trade him before he files for retirement. Can't trade a retired player.

Yes it would all have to happen before he retires. I think I may have been wrong about all of the options as it appears they could do a handshake deal to terminate so they wouldnt have to pay any salary. Seems like they could get off scott free
