Pretty much, I bet including the pronger contract was how he was able to move out grossman.

This is also the reason I really dont think its a big deal if the wings get stuck with pavel datsyuks contract. They shouldn't have an issue moving the contract.

I have a Mazda now. Not buying this brand again.

The cars themselves look great, I like how sporty they seem and its very true that a lot of toyota/honda is quite boring.

I just have heard too many horror stories, and know mine well enough. I'm only buying Honda, Toyota or VW. If only Pontiac was still around.

New Mazda's fall apart unless they are in a gorgeous climate.

there are horror stories about every car. I understand because its the same reason I dont want to buy a Honda. The paint started coming off of a 7 year old car and they felt that was completely normal and would not pay to fix it

For me I like to think what I spend my money on is primarily a good engine. Its where I focus.

Not sure what to think of the CVT tranny.

It's becoming the more common transmission type and I think they've grown to be more reliable.

In terms of the cap, they are pretty much the same.

a 35+ contract retiring is not the same as someone on LTIR

CVT is the reason I wouldnt buy a forester. The engine in the rav4 is terrible. Funny cause I found the cx5 engine to be fantastic, bit underpowered in highway passing

Never did the CX5 I have no idea. I did the new Mazda 3 and found it horrific. My '06 had more pep to it.

So many choices. *pulls out pubes and runs away screaming *

If he doesn't play here its the exact same thing to a team looking to reach the cap floor

im looking for my wife and it is overwhelming...my favorite methods of buying a car are usually fall irrationally in love with a car regardless of the consequences or find a deal too good to pass up. this will be the first time I buy a car new, and she's currently falling irrationally in love with just the idea of a new car

For me, the Pronger trade wasn't surprising at all. It was a no brainer. Just about anyone who posts on this board could've pulled it off.

The fact that they got someone to take him and included an actual NHL player and a 3rd for Grossmann without knees was surprising.

That would be news to me. I am understanding that he has a cap hit that is higher than his contract, but it cannot be put on LTIR and there is a big difference between a team paying a guy 550k and 5.5 million.

I wouldnt be against keeping him.

As of now the only boys we have that are any threat in a shootout are Giroux and maybe Gagner.

Travis Konecny, you are our only hope!

I've been thinking about 3C.

With Couturier locked in as a 2nd line center, and getting a lot of ice time. I somewhat want a 3C with more offensive potential. Again, Konecny?

I was under the impression if a player fails to report (like in the Tim Thomas to NYI deal) the team suspends him and he still counts against the cap.
