For me, the Pronger trade wasn't surprising at all. It was a no brainer. Just about anyone who posts on this board could've pulled it off.

I meant to quote this to say I agree...but flagged you. My bad.

I still agree, for what its worth

lol...as long as I don't have to buy the car immediately, I love it. I can frank with them just as well as they frank with me.

Very true, mine currently works but its time for something new. Suspension is shot and feels like I am driving over grenades. Fairly bad rust, and with winter coming I dont want to wait for the demise.

Either down to a '16 Civic or Golf. I worry about the price of repairs for that VW, and the civic is great ( a lot for the money ) but is way too low to the ground. I do a decent amount of dirt road driving and camping, so that is a worry.

Or outside of the box for a '15 RAV 4.

That's the way to go, IMHO. More negotiating leverage.

Its where I am leaning to be honest. The idea of a used vehicle is a little scary, have no idea how the person before you drove it or why they gave it back after a short time.

All of my previous cars were pre-owned though and no lemons.

Most CPO are lease vehicles. Its true you have no idea how the previous person drove it, but 9/10 they probably drove normal. And most come with the factory warranty.

I could kind of see it coming, there was tension between Vinny and the coaching staff and Vinny wanted to play more and made it pretty clear he wanted traded.
- Streit2ThePoint

Well, yeah, that part was clear as day. That another team took him was the surprise.

new civic seems nice...i have a sour taste for hondas though. rav4's are very boring, but they arent selling well and toyota wants marketshare. golfs are too common to be very expensive to repair and I know some people that got VWs well under MSRP recently. hyundai has some really good incentives on elantras and sonatas right now.

if you buy CPO from a reputable dealer they should stand behind the cars they sell

I've never owned one myself, but have several friends and family members that have, specifically foresters. They have a good reputation for build quality.

I didn't say they were the sportiest/fastest/best looking but the forester is a nice practical car.

This
And if it's low miles, which most lease turn-ins are, the risk is no greater than buying a new one. It's probably lower, actually, because odds are if there was an issue the lessee would've taken it back for service. I haven't bought a factory new car since 2004. Lease turn-ins are the way to go.

Are the "Feel the Bern" stickers standard equipment or are they optional?

I have a Mazda now. Not buying this brand again.

The cars themselves look great, I like how sporty they seem and its very true that a lot of toyota/honda is quite boring.

I just have heard too many horror stories, and know mine well enough. I'm only buying Honda, Toyota or VW. If only Pontiac was still around.

New Mazda's fall apart unless they are in a gorgeous climate.

Well, given those three vehicles I'd go Golf, Civic, Rav4. IMHO!

Pretty much, I bet including the pronger contract was how he was able to move out grossman.

This is also the reason I really dont think its a big deal if the wings get stuck with pavel datsyuks contract. They shouldn't have an issue moving the contract.

Those new civics are not going to work up here. I think it was quite dumb for Honda to put them so low. Makes it look more appealing to that young city crowd but in winter they will scrape and plow ruts/snow far too often.

I'd get one without question if it was for that.
