You know how people post here about number one defenseman and when you question them they can only come up with 8-10 of them in the entire league?

Giroux

Wow. Giroux isn't a defenseman

in all seriousness though.

(frank) that dude. i get it. howard is just a walking 25 million dollar joke now. but still. (frank) him.

i like that howard basically admitted to sucking afterwards, but still, hes right. he did too much for that franchise to get that treatment.

Tadahito Iguchi did too much for that franchise to get that treatment. It has nothing to do with him sucking now or being an important piece then. It has to do w/ human decency and not being a a piece of poop gutter trash mouth breather. You don't throw a beer bottle at someone. You throw a light up wrist band.

hahah to the end.

but yeah, true. that is the better way of looking at it. i just imagine people (not the ooooh evil philly inhabitant, just people in general) sucking and being overall void that that level of decency to acknowledge human dignity.

People do suck, and they will continue to suck. That this happened serves as no shock to me. I'm just relieved he was compassionate enough to not vomit on a little girl before throwing the bottle.

I'm sure there are a lot of people thinking he probably topped out as a good 2/3 rethinking things. He's got a little bit of sidearmed righty Cliff Lee to him. Deadly accurate. That curve though. Really curves. I remember an article a while back from Fangraphs detailing how it may be the best curve in baseball using some metrics and stuff. It's worth a read if you can find it. Nothing jargony.

You'd figure by this point in their careers they'd actually be able to... you know... not play so many wrong notes.

It was a cool idea, but the execution was pretty poor.

I can't wait for Giroux to lead the Flyers to a 5-game Stanley Cup Finals loss.

I'm deathly bored at work (already) so I thought of players in this upcoming draft that I'd be on board to move up for, select where we are at , and finally an additional 1st to acquire later in the round for another player. The first category is tougher Bc of the uncertainty of where players will go after the top 3.

Trade up: Logan Brown, Alex Nylander.

Sit still: Luke Kunin, Julien Gauthier, Kiefer Bellows.

Additional 1st: Max Jones* , Riley Tufte, Tyler Benson. (* for Jones because I've seen him selected at our spot in majority of mocks).

As you can see, I am in favor of C or LW. And Id be ok with involving Laughton+ In a trade to acquire the additional 1st if it meant we drafted a big C.

Id love to get up to grab Nylander, but if i feel like if we'd be giving up assets to move up in general, id love to go all the way with Laine. however, if they even ask for one of provy, konecny, ghost, or morin, i wouldnt, and they prob will ask for one of them back. I think im totally fine sitting at 18 and hoping Bellows falls, i think hes exactly what we need.

i also dont want to give up on Laughton at all, i think his potential is higher than some here see just because of his bad luck with injuries and his lack of playing time. i think when given a shot he has a potential as a 2nd line calibre player. i think the wing looks good on him and he just has to play more and get used to it, he was a center basically his whole life.

I also think max jones would be a solid get if he slips past say 21. ive read a bunch of mocks having him in the 20's, and now since London dominated have seen a few with him in our 18 spot. Id love a bellows/jones get from this trade, we have the picks in the top 3, just get it done Hexy!

ill buy he was burnt out. the last part i dont know.

i dont know what jakes deal was. something was up. health, cold streak, or what. but he scuffled bad.

i love simmonds, but he cant really do things for himself.

so with jake being all fouled up, coots out. thats not even a one line team, its a one player team.

See I think simmonds has done better the past 2 seasons or so in making chances for himself. He seems to have gotten much better with the puck, and skating 1v1 against defenders. Still looks awkward as (frank) skating though

I don't really care how he gets his chances. He scored 32 goals, and 60 points.
