Hate the Penguins top 6 (memories) but that bottom 6 is quite likeable. Fast, gritty and full of heart.

Jeez I hope Pavelski stops choking soon.

Ohh it could all implode in their faces. Giroux declines, Voracek a one year wonder, and the "prospects" dont become more than secondary players.

That beat down we took from Washington has a left a bad taste in some of our mouths... There's a year that shall not be named, this is the era that can't end quick enough.

Anybody can twist stats however they want but our last few playoff outings have been putrid.

Say what you want about G, he does need to be better at times.

He also needs someone to be able to carry the team offensively sometimes without having to be on his wing.

After G and sometimes Voracek, its pretty meh a lot of the time.

yeah im not gonna say he's been downright heroic. but he really hasnt gotten much help.

coots going down stunk for him against washington. he basically had to match up against backstrom and still try to score.

he can either play with jake and stack up, or bump him off and hopefully spread out some defense but then it means hes gonna be playing with junk on the wings for the most part.

it does crack me up how it seems most flyers fans think the guy is either the games greatest player or an absolute stiff.

I've been talking to some people, one of which actually posts in here, and the collective is perhaps he is burnt out, physically and mentally, it happens. I also think the league took its time catching up with him.

ill buy he was burnt out. the last part i dont know.

i dont know what jakes deal was. something was up. health, cold streak, or what. but he scuffled bad.

i love simmonds, but he cant really do things for himself.

so with jake being all fouled up, coots out. thats not even a one line team, its a one player team.

I agree with this to a point. Nothing wrong with admitting it either.

Hell, Crosby doesn't have the same pep as often as he did when he was younger. Difference is that Crosby has a lot more support around him.

makes a world of difference. crosby does still have downright dominant stretches. but he plays so much more of a 2 way role now. the numbers naturally go down. but thats only an option because they have the malkin line followed by the kessel line.

if the options were like oh look sweet craig adams and tanner glass are back out to terrorize the opposition, the pens wouldve been bounced and crosby wouldve been a choke artist. its all perception.

You know how people post here about number one defenseman and when you question them they can only come up with 8-10 of them in the entire league?
